It is our pleasure to invite you all to a local in-person WOPM meeting, which will take place at the Abbe Center of Photonics (ACP) in Jena, Germany on the 4th and 5th of October, 2021. The ACP is located at Beutenberg Campus Jena, just a few steps from Leibniz-IPHT.
We will stream and broadcast talks within the virtual WOPM2021 sessions in the big ACP auditorium. The WOPM2021 program and schedule will be announced here: http://opm-workshop.org/index.php/program. Regarding the virtual poster sessions, we will give our best to provide enough space and internet bandwidth so that every participant will be able to join the virtual poster sessions on his own gear. In addition to that, there will be possibilities for participants who have submitted poster contributions to present and discuss their work in person at “real” poster walls. Please indicate your interest when registering for the on-site event so that we can prepare the poster walls for you.
The in-person meeting is subject to the proviso that COVID-19-related regulations imposed by the local and federal authorities will allow us to organize such an event. Under current regulations, our meeting would be possible, when the required hygiene requirements are obeyed by all the participants. We will communicate the applicable rules and regulations in advance of the meeting. In addition, every participant has to check and take care to obey the rules imposed by his local authorities and institutions for travel.
We would like to ask you to register for the local Jena event (in addition to the registration to the virtual WOPM you might have filled out), by filling out the registration form below.
Do not hesitate to contact us in case of questions or problems by mail at wopmjena(a)gmail.com
We are looking forward to meeting you in Jena and keep fingers crossed that we can have a safe and vivid local gathering!

The Abbe Center of Photonics (ACP) is the academic center of scientific activities in the fields of optics and photonics at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena DE. Research is conducted in joint cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute Jena, the Helmholtz Institute Jena, the Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology, and the German Optics Museum. In the last years, ACP has become one of the leading European centers for research and education in optics and photonics as well as in the development and transfer of optical technologies. ACP is strongly engaged in young-career scientists' education via its integrated Abbe School of Photonics and sustains strong links with local industry partners as well as with the international scientific community.
