Functional Thin Films for Photonic Applications

Functional thin films for different applications like photovoltaics, optical sensors, photonics, plasmonics, smart textiles and thermoelectric will be presented in this talk.

  • crystalline silicon thin films for transparent semiconductor devices & bifacial solar cells [3,7]
  • silicon based photodiodes with high resolution and fast signal response [9]
  • optical detection with photodiodes array for energy autonomous on-site analysis
  • nanostructures for light management [11,12]
  • tailored metal and alloy nanoparticles by laser processes for plasmonics [4]
  • semiconductor and polymer hybrid systems for solar cells [5,10] 
  • optical sensors, solar cells and thermoelectric on single fibers & fabrics for smart textiles [2,8]
  • transparent conductive electrodes [1,6]
